Fees
Our fees
Legal costs should not be a mystery. These are our fixed fees for the work we can price in advance, all including GST. An initial consultation is $350 for one hour and is credited in full against your fees if you instruct us on that matter. Disputes, family law and immigration are not priced online because the cost genuinely depends on the facts.
Conflict clearance and written engagement are required before the firm acts.Quick answer
How much does a lawyer cost in Perth for a will, conveyancing or a lease review?
Legal Care Australia publishes fixed fees including GST for defined work: an initial consultation is $350 for one hour and is credited against your fees if you proceed; a single will is $400 and a couple's wills $750, with an estate planning package including powers of attorney at $1,050 single or $2,050 couple; property settlement is $1,100 for buyers and $880 for sellers plus disbursements of $300 to $550; a commercial lease review is $1,100, or $750 with a business settlement; guarantor advice with a solicitor's certificate is $750 per guarantor.

Initial consultation — $350
One hour with a solicitor, in English or Vietnamese. We identify the issue, set out your options and what they will cost, and give you a written quote. The consultation fee is credited in full against your fees if you instruct us on that matter.
Wills and estate planning
A will deals with what happens after you die. The powers of attorney and guardianship deal with what happens if you lose capacity while you are still alive, which is the situation most families are least prepared for. That is why we price them together, and why the package costs less than the documents separately. Estates involving a business, a family trust, a self-managed super fund, assets overseas or a blended family are quoted individually.
- Estate planning package, single: $1,050. Your will, an enduring power of attorney and an enduring power of guardianship.
- Estate planning package, couple: $2,050. Mirror wills, plus an enduring power of attorney and guardianship for each of you.
- Single will: $400. Couple or mirror wills: $750.
- Enduring power of attorney or guardianship: $400 each, or $750 for both.
- Probate: from $2,500, depending on the estate. Court filing fees and disbursements are additional.
Property
Disbursements cover searches, certificates and lodgement fees and are itemised at cost. Transfer duty and Landgate registration fees are paid to government and are separate. You will see settlement agents quoting similar figures; the difference is that your settlement is handled by a solicitor, so if a caveat appears or a special condition turns difficult it is dealt with here rather than referred out mid-transaction.
- Buyer settlement: $1,100, plus disbursements of $300 to $550. Most buyers pay $1,400 to $1,650 all up.
- Seller settlement: $880, plus disbursements of $300 to $550. Most sellers pay $1,180 to $1,430 all up.
Business and commercial
Reviewing a lease and assigning it into a buyer's name are two different jobs, and nearly every business sale with premises needs both. Assignment, due diligence, contract negotiation and franchise document review are quoted separately, and we put the whole transaction in one written fixed fee after the first meeting rather than quoting a low number that grows.
- Commercial lease review: $1,100 per lease document, covering leases of up to 50 pages.
- Commercial lease review as part of a business settlement: $750 per lease document.
- Retail disclosure statement review: add $550. This is separate work and the fee is the same either way.
- Guarantor advice and solicitor's certificate: $750 per guarantor, for an appointment of up to 60 minutes. Appointments usually available within 48 hours.
- Business settlement: buyer $1,750, seller $1,350. Settlement plus a lease review is $2,500 for a buyer and $2,100 for a seller.
What we do not price online, and why
Disputes, family law, immigration and complex commercial matters are not listed here, because the cost genuinely depends on the facts and, in a dispute, on how the other side responds. Publishing a number for those would be a guess. What we do instead is confirm a fixed fee or a written estimate for each stage before starting, and tell you before anything changes. Conflict clearance and a written engagement are required before we can act. Fees current as at 1 August 2026.
Fees in Vietnamese
The language of your advice makes no difference to the cost. Every fee on this page is the same whether we act for you in English or Vietnamese.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
Is the initial consultation fee credited against my costs?+
Yes. The $350 consultation fee is credited in full against your fees if you instruct us on that matter. It is not credited against unrelated work.
Are these prices including GST?+
Yes. Every figure on this page includes GST. Disbursements and government charges such as transfer duty, Landgate registration and court filing fees are separate and itemised at cost.
Why are disputes not priced here?+
Because the cost of a dispute depends on how the other side responds, which nobody can fix in advance. We quote each stage in writing before it starts and tell you before anything changes, so you are never surprised even though the total is not fixed at the outset.
Do you charge more for advice in Vietnamese?+
No. Fees depend on the matter and the work agreed, not the language you speak.
What if my matter turns out to be more complicated?+
Each published fee comes with a defined scope, and we tell you before doing any work beyond it. A lease over 50 pages, an estate with assets overseas, or a settlement that has to be rebooked are all examples where we would confirm a revised fee with you first rather than afterwards.
How long are these fees current?+
These fees are current as at 1 August 2026 and are reviewed annually. The fee confirmed in your written engagement is the one that applies to your matter.
